Palm/Passion Sunday, 4/13 9AM. Through the teachings and events of the passion story we see and hear the great contradictions that characterize the coming of God’s reign. The leader serves the followers, proud Peter is revealed in his cowardice, and Jesus—the innocent bringer of life—is arrested, beaten, executed, and buried.
Maundy Thursday 4/17, 6:30PM.
This service commemorates the Passover, the Last Supper/sacrament of Holy Communion. We also celebrate the first communion with some of our church family as well.
Good Friday 4/18, 12:30 & 6PM.
This service picks up where the Last Supper of Maundy Thursday left off and ends with the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins. In addition to the worship times, Pastor Steve will receive persons from 10-12PM and 3-5PM for those who would like a time of individual prayer and/or confession.
Easter/Resurrection Sunday 9AM and 11AM.
The morning began with confusion: the stone was moved and the tomb was empty. Disciples arrive, then angels, and finally Jesus himself. Out of the confusion, hope emerges, and a weeping woman becomes the first to confess her faith in the risen Lord. He is Risen! Children’s church for potty trained 2’s to 4th grade will be available during both worship services. Kids are dismissed for the message, and will return during the sharing of the peace.
Easter Morning
Egg Hunt
& Breakfast
Join us between our 9AM and 11AM worship services for an our egg hunt and breakfast. What's better than joyful worship, egg hunt and breakfast? Or if you prefer egg hunt, breakfast and then worship, you can do that too! Children’s church for potty trained 2’s to 4th grade will be available during both worship services. Kids are dismissed for the message, and will return during the sharing of the peace.
The American Lutheran Church Board of American Missions bought five acres on Holly Drive in 1962, just behind what was also known as Plant Drive Park. Construction began on the new Nativity Lutheran Church by June of that year, with the founding pastor, Reverend Dr. David A. Wolber, conducting the first formal worship service just prior to Christmas on December 23. After Nativity’s first worship service was held on December 23, 1962 (hence the name Nativity) the Nativity Lutheran School opened in August of 1965. Together we have grown in faith to serve the community through the worship, education and fellowship.
COME WORSHIP WITH US!
SUNDAYS: We gather at 9:00 a.m. Fellowship will follow.
Nativity Lutheran Church & School is a vibrant and growing community of brothers and sisters in Christ, located in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens. We believe that worship is at the heart of our Christian life. It is the wellspring of our journey of faith. It is where we experience and receive God’s love in Word and Sacrament, and are transformed by this encounter. Our worship is an authentic blend of the past and the present. We celebrate Lutheran liturgical heritage, while giving voice to the contemporary context of today as well. We have a vision for Inspired Worship!
