Lent Midweek Services and Soup Supper 

Join Pastor Lutze at 6:30 p.m. for a soup supper followed by a 7:00 p.m. Lenten worship on Wednesday, March 7, 14 and 21. The church will provide bowls, spoons and crackers. Please sign up in the reception area if you are willing and able to bring soup for approximately 10 to 20 to share. 

Holy Week 

Thursday, March 29 join us for Maundy Thursday worship at 7:00 p.m. At the end of the service, the altar will be stripped. Friday, March 30 we will have two services, one at 12:30 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. 

Easter Sunday, April 1, we will have one service at 9:30 a.m. followed by our Easter Brunch and Easter egg hunt on the playground. 

Women’s Bible Study 

Nativity Women’s Love Circle would like to extend an invitation to all women to join us for our monthly meeting. We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month, except in the summer, at 9:30am in the church. The meeting consists of a business meeting followed by a Bible study from our Lutheran magazine GATHER. The business meeting is spent discussing concerns of the church that our group may be able to help with. Our meeting does not include drinks or snacks. The next meeting will be on March 12th. 

The Presbyterian Women invite the women of Nativity Lutheran Church to our next meeting on March 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Gardens Presbyterian Church, 4677 Hood Road, Palm Beach Gardens. We will eat lunch at the church, so bring your sandwich or salad and a drink. Our meeting consists of short business meeting and a program followed by lunch.

For many years, Nativity has celebrated our members and friends that are age 75 or more with a luncheon. They are what we call our “treasures”. We usually hold the luncheon in the spring or early summer. If you are able to help with this wonderful event, please contact Kari in the church office. I will supply you with the names, the finances and suggestions. Without a coordinator, this will end. 

Thrivent Choice Dollars and Action Teams 

Each Thrivent member that has investments through Thrivent, is able to designate where money given by Thrivent goes. Please be sure to direct yours before the end of March or it will be lost. Thrivent also gives each member two opportunities each year to have an Action Team to help raise money or help the community. Apply for this 30 days in advance of event, and Thrivent will give you $250 seed money to help with supplies or promoting.

Camping with Gardens Presbyterian Everyone is welcome to attend a weekend of camping and fun at Gardens Pres. We are planning activities for those individuals not interested in camping, but interested in participating throughout the day. The schedule is: March 2nd - Friday camp dinner at 6 pm. March 3rd - Saturday 9 am hot breakfast, a picnic sandwich lunch and a camp dinner at 5 pm. March 4th - Sunday at 8 am would be cereal breakfast and ready for church at 10:30. Rummage sale 

Love Circle's annual Rummage Sale will be held on March 10th this year. Anyone wishing to donate items for sale can bring them on the 8th or 9th, to the church between 9am and 5pm. Also, anyone having some time on the 9th from 1:00 to approx. 4:00 to help setup and sort the donations, or to help sell on the 10th starting at 7:30am, please call Ceil Thomas at 746-8730. This year's proceeds will be shared with the youth for their mission trip to Texas this summer. If you have left your pyrex dish, trays, cake carriers or anything that has been brought to the church, please pick it up prior to the sale. Anything not belonging to the church or claimed will be put in the rummage sale. 

St. George’s Dinner 

Our next neighborhood (homeless) dinner will be served Friday, March 30. You are invited to help serve dinners to underprivileged children, families & adults at St. George’s Episcopal community center in Riviera Beach. Afterwards, plan to enjoy a “team” dinner, as a group, at a local restaurant. The “PREP, COOK & SETUP CREW” helps from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The “SERVE & CLEANUP CREW” helps from 5:00 pm to about 6:30 pm. Sign up for the entire shift, or one of the 1 ½ hour times. Look for the Sign-up sheet in the Loggia. “Souper” Bowl Results 

February 4 we enjoyed our own “Souper” Bowl. We formed our teams, the Angels were those with a last name that started with A through L. The Saints were those whose last name started with M through Z. The Saints were the winners collecting $411 and the Angels collected $164. This money collected will go to our Sandwich Making Ministry which feeds the homeless and hungry on the third Saturday of each month. We also collected 71 items of food from the Angels and 19 items from the Saints. This food went to a local food bank. We enjoyed soup made by Elsie Canzoneri, Beverly Eubanks, Breanne Johnsen, Nancy Morrissey, Ernadel Sioson and Kari Donnelly. 

Handbell Festival 

The 2018 Annual FL State Handbell Festival will be coming to First Presbyterian in North Palm Beach, March 2-3. This event will include massed ringing with Dave Harris (director of Raleigh Ringers), classes to improve skills, FUN activities Friday night, track classes available and Florida Bronze Choir. Repertoire, information and registration available on line: under “Events-Florida”. Easter Activities Join us for our Easter Worship service at 9:30 a.m. April 1. If you are able to help with a Easter Brunch following, please contact Kari in the office and watch for a food sign up sheet. Donations of small candy will be accepted for our annual Easter egg hunt. We will also need helpers to stuff the eggs Sunday, March 25 after worship. Please put it on your calendar. 

The Lord’s Place Sleep Out 

Friday, April 6, The Lord’s Place is hosting their annual sleep out to help end homelessness. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes great music, delicious food, inspiring stories and a movie. Sleeping out is not required but is encouraged. Registration is $25 per person and kids under 18 are free. Please visit for more information and to register.
