“Souper Bowl” February 4
As you cheer for your favorite football team playing in the Super Bowl on February 4, think of all the people that are homeless and don’t know where their next meal is coming from. On Sunday, February 4, please come support Nativity’s “Souper Bowl”. If your last name begins with A-L, you will be on the Angels’ team. If your last name begins with M-Z you will be on the Saints’ team. There will be two ways to compete. When you come for worship on the 4th, there will be tables set up with a soup pot for cash donations and canned or dry foods can be donated and left on the table. Checks may be made out to Nativity with “Souper Bowl” in the memo line. The money donated will be used to fund our sandwich making ministry where we make sandwiches once a month and give to St. George’s. The food will be donated to a local food pantry.
Lent Midweek Services and Soup Supper
Beginning February 21, join Pastor Lutze at 6:30 p.m. for a soup supper followed by a 7:00 p.m. Lenten worship. The church will provide bowls, spoons and crackers. Please sign up in the reception area if you are willing and able to bring soup for approximately 10 to 20 to share.
Our Women’s Love Circle will be holding their annual rummage sale on Saturday, March 10. Donations for the sale may be dropped off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 7, 8 and 9th between the hours of 9am and 5pm. If you would like to rent a space to sell your own items, contact Ceil at 561-746- 8730 or Kari at 561-622-4998.
Helpers are needed Friday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. to organize and set up the sale and Saturday, March 10, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to help with sales.
If you have pyrex dish, trays, cake carriers or anything that has been brought to the church, please pick it up this month. Anything not belonging to the church or claimed will be put in the rummage sale.

If your birthday or anniversary is not listed in our newsletter, please contact the church office with your information.
For many years, Nativity has celebrated our members and friends that are age 75 or more with a luncheon. They are what we call our “treasures”. We usually hold the luncheon in the spring or early summer. If you are able to help with this wonderful event, please contact Kari in the church office. I will supply you with the names, the finances and suggestions. Without a coordinator, this will end.
DID you know?
This past fall, we discovered that we had a large hole on the outside sill of our front stained glass window. Over the years, wind and rain had rotted out the wood to the point that a raccoon could have fit in the hole. We contacted McMow Glass Art and after they assessed the situation, they told us the window was in very good condition.
After Christmas, the window was removed and taken to the shop for trimming and cleaning. The window was in 2 sections and each section weighed between 250 and 300 pounds. Then the appropriate repairs were made and a hurricane impact clear glass was installed on the outside. Our stained glass was reinstalled and is as beautiful as ever and ready for 50 more years.
