Our Mission

Your trusted source for early education for over 50 years by providing quality education in a Christian environment. Our classrooms provide an entertaining and educational atmosphere. The teachers are devoted to providing the best education for your child with the needed curriculum to successfully prepare your child for the future.

Nativity Lutheran Church & Preschool admits all children  regardless of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.

Our Philosophy

Nativity Lutheran Church & Preschool has been serving our community since 1966. Its bright, air-conditioned rooms provide a safe and pleasant atmosphere for your child’s early learning experience.   Our well-qualified teachers love and understand children and their individual needs. They know that no two children are alike, in growth development, personality or learning ability.   As we are a Church-sponsored school, a part of each day is devoted to simple Christian stories, songs and prayers; moral and spiritual values are presented to all the classes. Once a week, we meet in the church for a brief chapel service

Priority registration is given to members of Nativity Lutheran Church, returning students and their brothers and sisters. In February, registration opens to the public provided openings are still available.    4-year-olds (VPK) must be 4 by September 1st and 3 year-olds must be 3 by September 1st; 2 year olds must be 2 by September 1st.     All children must be potty trained. “Pull-ups” are not acceptable.    All students must be re-registered annually.

Arrival and Dismissal

School begins at 9:00 a.m. for all classes. Our teachers are ready to greet your child at 8:55 a.m. We cannot be responsible for children brought to school before this time. We do offer an early care service beginning at 7:30 a.m. All children must be walked to their classroom each day giving you the opportunity to make contact with your child’s teacher. Do not let your children walk alone.   Dismissal is at 12 noon. Please pick your children up at their classroom. This is another opportunity to make contact with your child’s teacher. Please use caution when exiting our parking area.    It is the responsibility of the parent/authorized person to sign the child in and out daily including time of arrival/ departure, according to the school clock.    All visitors to campus must first sign in at front desk.

Late charges will be imposed for late pick-up of students. Student dismissal is 12 noon. Any child remaining after noon will be transferred to the After care program, and billed according to our late policy on page 8.

AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT PROGRAM:   Our school offers an afternoon enrichment program 5 days a week from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. During the afternoons we have playtime, arts & crafts, story-time, playground or movies, depending on weather conditions. Children are to be picked up promptly by 5:30 p.m.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome and thank you for enrolling your child/children at Nativity Lutheran Church and School. We are excited to start the 2019-2020 school-year together. You will be receiving a “Brightwheel invitation” very soon and we encourage you to download the App to your phone. Through the app you can stay in touch with the teachers and see the progress of your child in a feed. Paying your child’s tuition through the app will also be an option this year. Your child’s first day of preschool is Monday, August 12, 2019.

Our Parent Orientation / Teacher “Meet and Greet “will be held on: Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 9:30 AM We will begin the orientation with the installation of our Teachers during our church service. After the service (about 10.30 AM) you will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and see the classrooms. This is also a great time to bring supplies listed on your child’s supply list attached.

Please join us for this special occasion as we celebrate the beginning of our preschool year. There will be a Back2School Brunch in the Fellowship Hall for both Church and School.

Uniforms are mandatory at Nativity. Please refer to Harris Uniform, located at: 4152 Blue Heron Blvd., Suite 118, Riviera Beach, FL 33404, Phone 561-881-8689 for all your uniform needs. As a reminder, for your child’s safety and in accordance with licensing standards, please have your child wear closed toe shoes. Sneakers or other comfortable shoes are great.

All children need to have a current Physical (3040) and Immunization Form (680) on file to attend school.

Nativity charges an annual tuition. For your convenience, it is payable in ten monthly installments. Tuition is due on the first of each month – starting August 1 st and ending May 1st. A delinquency fee of $30 will be added on the 10th of the month for any remaining balance. Your child/children can return to school upon the reconciliation of your account. We accept payments in the form of cash, check or money order. Checks and money orders are made payable to Nativity Lutheran Church & School. Please mail or drop off your payment for August.

Please do not hesitate to call me at 561-622-4998 or e-mail me anytime at pia@pbnativity.com, if you have any questions. Thank you again for entrusting your child/children into our care. It is an honor to guide them in the light of Christ.
